Reasons to Study Abroad in China

China is a historically rich country offering amazing opportunities for academic advancement. Not only do tourists flock to this Asian country in droves each year, students often choose to study abroad in China. If you're a student considering a foreign study program, here are some reasons why you should participate:

* Only a small fraction of students choose to study abroad. This sets you apart from all the other university and job applicants and makes people look twice. A student who took the initiative to travel to a foreign land in order to improve themselves academically as well as personally has that little something extra that admissions officers and potential employers look for.

* If you're majoring in Chinese language or other Asian studies, then you simply must study abroad in China. There's simply no better way to learn the language then by total immersion! By speaking and hearing Chinese constantly, you're certain to become fluent a lot faster than you would studying the language back at home. You'll live just like a Chinese citizen, and by doing so, you will grasp the subtleties of the language that cannot be grasped anywhere else!

* China is a perfect place to study subjects of all kinds, including international law, medicine, geography, biology, art, architecture, and so much more! Beijing is a major hub of international finance and commerce, an ideal destination for a student serious about business!

* China is a country of amazing beauty and rich culture. See the Great Wall of China in person, and visit some of China's many temples and shrines. Hike through one of China's gorgeous parks, or experience the hustle and bustle of modern Chinese life. The nightlife in China is similar to what you'll remember from home, and offers music and dancing until all hours. There are theme parks, shows, and other amusements to fill your free time.

* While studying abroad in China, you will not only advance yourself academically, but socially as well. Many students travel in groups, or you could stay with a Chinese host family. Many students end up becoming quite close to their host families and maintain communication after returning home.

* The chance to study abroad in China is a once in a lifetime experience. Not only will students learn about the Chinese culture and advance their academics, they will develop a positive outlook on the diverse world we live in.
